Is Pilot Training certificate equal to bachelors degree?

The certificate you will obtain after completion of the Pilot training course will be a higher diploma certificate.But if you take the certificate to the Ministry of Education,they will convert it to Bachelors degree and provide you a certificate for the same.

What is the Technical English Foundation Courses about?

The 22 week Technical English Foundation Courses are designed to prepare students for further training in a variety of aviation-related disciplines. Each course uses the most appropriate balance of Technical English Language, Mathematics and Science to thoroughly prepare the students academically and linguistically for the next phase of their training. The emphasis in Technical English Foundation Courses is on helping students to become less reliant on the teacher and more independent in their learning. Students study individually, in small groups and as a class, utilising a broad range of material, from the latest multimedia technology to teacher-based material. A major feature of the courses is the incorporation of materials to be used by the students in the next phase of their training and in the workplace. The courses have been designed so that the students learn a range of scientific and mathematical skills and concepts through the medium of English. In all courses full use is made of the Learning Resource Centre.

What is General English Course about?

In this course students study General English and Mathematics for 22 or 44 weeks depending on entry test results. The aim of the programme is to improve General English and to instil good habits of study and attitude. On successful completion of the General English course, students will enter the appropriate Technical Foundation Course.


What is the age required to join the Pilot Training course?

You must be less than 21 years of age when you enroll for the pilot training progm.Both Private and sponsored students are required to less than 23 years of age when they join the college, as it becomes easier to find job openings in airlines for young pilots.Airlines prefer to absorb those graduating pilots who are less than 25 years of age.The industry considers and understands that younger pilots make fewer mistakes compared to older pilots.

What are the essential requirements from an Air Traffic Controller?

The job carries a high level of responsibility and can be pressurized at times. Controllers must be able to understand and quickly analyze complicated radar and computerized flight data, and to respond appropriately. Problem solving skills, decisiveness and the ability to remain calm when under pressure are important - particularly when dealing with emergency situations. Candidates must be healthy, articulate, observant, capable of concentrating for long periods of time and must have a clear voice and excellent hearing, eyesight and colour vision. Numerical, technical, team-working and interpersonal skills are also important.

What is the nature of work done by Air Traffic Controllers?

The work of an Air Traffic Controller can be tiring and uncomfortable: you may be constantly working in front of computers in a seated position, wearing a headset, often with dimmed lighting. Shift work is a standard requirement.

How are the students evaluated during the OJT of the AME programme?

Students will be evaluated during the programme and this will be through a mix of examination and practical assessment.
